Solidarity with the migrant community, Governor David Monreal takes the Agricultural Fair Expo to Fort Worth, Texas

In an act of justice for the migrant community and as a virtuous action also for the state of Zacatecas, Governor David Monreal Ávila took to Fort Worth, Texas, the First Agricultural Fair Expo for Zacatecanos Living in the United States.

This weekend, the president is on a work tour in Fort Worth, where, as his first activity, he held the Expo Fair, which aims to support and involve the migrant community in the development and well-being of their families. and from Zacatecas.

In this sense, he made subsidies available to the Zacatecans living in Texas for the acquisition of machinery and equipment for the field, as well as studs, seeds and all kinds of implements to strengthen the primary sector.

In addition, Governor David Monreal raffled off a tractor among the attending producers, and offered support for the acquisition of 20 more.

The foregoing, he said before the migrant community, is part of the actions that he carries out in gratitude and recognition of the Zacatecans who live in the United States and who daily contribute a lot to their land of origin.

He stressed that remittances alone are almost equal to the spending budget exercise of Zacatecas, which is 36 billion pesos a year, since the contribution of the countrymen through this channel is 28 billion pesos a year, which have as the main destination the productive economic chain, the strengthening of the economic unit and of the houses or the patrimony of the families.

Monreal Ávila assured that she knows very well the needs of migrants, many of whom wish to return to where they were born in the future or, rather, increase their assets with a small production unit, a plot, a ranch or a farm. business, hence their decision to support them as a government through the first Agricultural Fair Expo in the United States, of the two that will be held in that country.

“My fundamental purpose is to go to productivity in the search for the well-being of those who are dedicated to agriculture and livestock; The purpose of the Government is to be supportive and to be part of the production cost of its productive unit because it is a virtuous action, since it goes hand in hand with the development of their towns of origin,» he told the hundreds of attendees at the meeting.

In this sense, he also took the opportunity to inform the migrant community about the government actions carried out in Zacatecas, such as the agricultural diesel subsidy, the Construyendo Bienestar program and many other support schemes to which he told, as Zacatecans, they have the right to access, since it will be «under the protection of a great community how we will achieve development, progress and well-being».

It should be noted that, for this expo, supplier companies such as John Deere, Agtrac, Mavepo, Massey Ferguson, Génesis, Sonalika, Implementos Norte and Dos Estrellas participated from various municipalities in Zacatecas.

In addition, the Ministry of Tourism promoted Zacatecas as a destination for romance, as well as its main tourist attractions, the Magical Towns, and offered tasting of Zacatecan mezcal, sweets, and souvenirs.

Likewise, the Secretariat of the Zacatecano Migrant (Sezami) offered information on the programs and services it carries out.

At the inauguration of the agricultural expo, in addition to the beneficiaries, the Governor was accompanied by the Secretaries of the Countryside, Economy, Tourism and the Zacatecano Migrant, Jesús Padilla, Rodrigo Castañeda, Le Roy Barragán and Iván Reyes, respectively.

Likewise, the President of the Federation of Zacatecano Clubs in Fort Worth, Noé Valles; the General Consul of Mexico in Dallas, Texas, Francisco de la Torre; Deputy Armando Juárez; and the Municipal President of Jiménez del Teúl, Marisela Herrera.

This Sunday, also in Fort Worth, Governor David Monreal will hold the First Transformation Hearing for Zacatecans Living in the United States, in order to strengthen collaboration with the migrant community.
