Committed to Zacatecan sports, in his vision that with this the social fabric can be regenerated and the well-being of families achieved, Governor David Monreal Ávila inaugurated a baseball field in Sauceda de la Borda, in Vetagrande.
Accompanied by J. Refugio Avitud Guerrero, municipal president of Vetagrande, the president fulfilled his commitment to provide these facilities for the practice of the king of sports, for the benefit of children, youth and adults, who did not have a physical space for the development of matches and training sessions.
After requesting that the construction of the dugout and bathrooms begin immediately, as well as the installation of synthetic grass, Governor David Monreal offered that next year a tartan track and the stands be built, because the sports community of Sauceda de la Borda and Vetagrande deserve it.
In the Sauceda de la Borda baseball field, which has an area of 15,000 square meters and will benefit more than 3,200 people, an investment of 659,000 pesos was allocated, corresponding to the 2023 Exercise of the Contribution Fund for Strengthening of the Municipalities and of the Territorial Demarcations of the Federal District.
In the presence of Javier Núñez Orozco, general director of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Zacatecas (Incufidez), the president informed that he will continue the program to rescue sports spaces throughout the state, because his commitment to the athletes of the entity is real and decided.
He recalled that, in recent days, he delivered synthetic grass courts in Cañitas de Felipe Pescador, in Guadalupe and in Tlaltenango, all aimed at the practice of sports and recreation for girls, boys, youth and adults, in dignified spaces and with sufficient conditions. for its comprehensive development.
Also, he delivered a soccer field in General Enrique Estrada; the Real del Conde Sports Center, in Guadalupe; the Sports Villas are rehabilitated in the Incufidez facilities; and new gyms are built, such as the High Performance Gym at the Benito Juárez Sports Unit, in the capital of Zacatecas.
In front of athletes from Vetagrande, Mayor J. Refugio Avitud Guerrero thanked Governor David Monreal for all the support he has given this municipality, not only in sports, but also in terms of providing drinking water, education, health and many more items.
He stressed that, for 40 years, this site was used for other issues, that, despite the fact that they promoted faith, many people, mainly children, moved away from practicing sports because they did not have adequate space, so it was decided to build the baseball field, given the resurgence of this sport in Vetagrande during the last four years.
Coinciding with the president David Monreal, Mayor J. Refugio Avitud Guerrero stated, before the local deputy Gabriela Pinedo Morales and the Director of Municipal Sports, Sergio Adrián Martínez Gurrola, that sport is the basis for the physical and mental development of the people, and also becomes an alternative to prevent social problems.
For his part, Víctor González Nava, representative of the baseball players in Sauceda de la Borda, thanked Governor David Monreal for this space that is provided to the local sports community, which motivates them to continue practicing this activity and promoting it. between children.
